We will have our 2nd Annual Class Play Festival on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

We will have at least FIVE back to back plays and the day will run just like OAP.

The classes that will have entries are:
Fish Select X 2 Classes
Production 1
Production 2-4
Theatre 2-4

The Tech Theatre classes will be the designers, builders, stage managers, running crew, etc. for the shows.

We will have guest judges who will give awards for best play, best actor, best actress, best directors, etc. Just like the Kelleys!

Should a SENIOR wish to direct one of these class plays, please contact Ms. Freeman ASAP. Most of the shows have already been chosen and they all tie to the this year’s theme: SHAKESPEARE. If you wish to enter your own Senior Direct, we will consider, but you will still be responsible for participating in your class play.

There will be some class rehearsal and lessons tied to the shows you’re working on. There will be a few mandatory after school rehearsals. This will largely depend on the class. For example, Production students will be expected to stay and work after school, while Select and Theatre 2-4 rehearsals will by definition of the course be much more flexible.

The tech classes will display their Macbeth design entries for the UIL Theatrical Design Contest. Categories: Scenic Design; Costume Design; Hair & Makeup Design; Marketing Design

The Combat class will participate by performing in the combat scenes.

The Musical Theatre Class will open and close the CPF with musical numbers learned in class.
