On Friday, November 18th, Operation Beautiful is launching our first event, “Hats off for Kindness”. We ask that you and your students wear hats and participate in a brief classroom discussion about character, kindness, and respect during your 2A class period. Our goal is to encourage students to be aware of their own biases and to seek understanding of those who they perceive as being different from themselves. We strongly urge you to facilitate conversation within your class by using the following questions:
1. How can we be respectful to all students?
2. How do we support others individuality?
3. Based on what you’ve discussed in the previous two questions, how will you work towards this in your everyday school life?
Our goal is to have 100% participation among all students and faculty in order to further our No Place For Hate Initiative. Thank you for your time and participation.
Sincerely,
Chloe Stuart, President
Operation Beautiful
