The application for officer elections can now be found under files.
Election Process
- Indian Theatre/Thespian Officers shall be elected in the spring from general body members in good standing.
-Only rising sophomore, junior and senior general body members shall be allowed to vote in the officer election.
- Officer candidates shall be elected based on a score calculated from 2/3 membership vote and 1/3 Evaluation (including essay and/or teacher recommendations and/or interview score).
- Candidate essay evaluations/interviews shall be conducted by a minimum of two people to include the chapter Adviser(s) and/or the chapter administrator.
- Whenever it is possible for them to attend all candidate interviews, the following shall be considered as additional possible interviewers up to a total of five: a Faculty Council member, a current elected Chapter Officer, and/or a current chapter Senior Representative.
- All scores shall be averaged to determine the final Evaluation score.
- Officer candidates shall be matched with an elected office according to the “Order of Preference” election method.
- Officer candidates shall rank order the officer positions in which they are willing to serve the chapter during the upcoming year.
- When the final candidate scores are determined, the highest scoring candidate shall be matched with his/her first choice of office; the second highest scoring candidate shall be matched with his/her first choice still available; etc. This candidate-officer position matching shall continue according to the candidates’ election score rank order and according to each candidate’s order of preference until all of the available offices have been filled.
- Should officer positions remain unfilled, the remaining candidates shall be approached in rank order of their score and offered the unfilled position of their choice. The failure to fill positions in this way may result in another general body election.

CANDIDATES WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THEY ARE INELIGIBLE TO CAMPAIGN.
CAMPAIGNING WILL TAKE PLACE ON April 25th – April 29th

DISTRIBUTE FLYERS, TREATS OR OTHER GIVE-AWAYS (CANDY, ETC) WITH CAMPAIGN INFORMATION
GIVE IMPROMPTU CAMPAIGN SPEECHES DURING LUNCHES OR THEATRE CLASS (if applicable)
VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ON May 2nd via election ballot provided by Directors
OFFICERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT BANQUET on FRIDAY MAY 6th and posted shortly thereafter.
