REMINDER! I only have ONE video audition turned in (s/o to Mackenzie Whitehead) for either class so far! Auditions are due Monday, April 4 by 4:00PM We have to turn our lists of selected class members to counselors by the end of next week! Please make this a priority if you are planning to be in Musical Theatre or Production class next year.

ATTN: Current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors intending to be in a production class or musical theatre in the 2022-23 school year!

We know that many of you have registered for Production I (Sophomores), Production II (Juniors), Production III (Seniors), and/or Musical Theatre I-III for the upcoming school year. As you know, these are auditioned classes. We want to be sure we accept students who are committed to the class and are excited about learning theatre production in the classroom environment. Our goal is never to turn students away through an audition, but rather to make sure the class, show, role, etc., is a good fit.

This year, we will not hold in person auditions for these classes. Rather, we require that each student intending to be in the class fill out the ‘22-’23 Production/MT Audition Form with audition materials recorded and uploaded by Monday April 4 at 4pm.

*For students auditioning for Production I-III…(
1. Please record a video audition performing 45-60 seconds of a monologue from a published play. You may choose something you have worked on previously or a new piece we haven’t seen. Remember that this is a great opportunity to show off your strengths or something we haven’t seen!
2. Please begin your video with a slate including your name, current grade, and piece from which you are performing.
EX. Hi, my name is Laura Harris. I am currently a junior at Keller High School, and I am performing a monologue from The Revolutionists.
3. Once your video is recorded, please title it with your first and last name, as well as the class you are auditioning for.

4. Lastly, you should complete the audition form and upload the video within the form.

For students auditioning for Musical Theatre I-III…
1. Please record a video audition performing around 60 seconds of a song from a musical.
You may choose something you have worked on previously or a new piece we haven’t seen. Remember that this is a great opportunity to show off your strengths or something we haven’t seen!
2. Please begin your video with a slate including your name, current grade, and piece from which you are performing.
EX. Hi, my name is Laura Harris. I am currently a junior at Keller High School, and I am performing “Bop to the Top” from High School Musical.
3. Once your video is recorded, please title it with your first and last name, as well as the class you are auditioning for.

For students auditioning for BOTH Production and Musical Theatre….
1. You should fill out only ONE audition form.
2. You should record two separate videos meeting each set of requirements. The form has places to upload both videos separately.
